[\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”1432″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Since 1985, the Scalabrinian Missionaries are engaged in welcoming and hosting a variety of migrants, deportees, refugees by opening the first Migrant Shelter<\/em> in Tijuana. Later, other similar shelters followed in Nuevo Laredo, Tapachula, Guatemala, Tec\u00fan Um\u00e1n, El Salvador and Guadalajara.<\/p>\n The Migrant Shelters<\/em> are welcoming centers, where room and board is offered along with spiritual help and guidance, basic medical attention, defense and promotion of human rights.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/2″][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n [\/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”1434″ img_size=”large” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]The Migrant Shelters Network<\/em> was established in December 1999.
