Father Marchetti’s Cause of beatification goes on<\/h1>\n

On January 21, 2016 the Consultors who expressed the main findings gave the following supplementary opinion. The <\/em>General Postulancy Note<\/em><\/h2>\n

On October 13, 2015, the Special Meeting of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints<\/em> was convened to discuss the heroic virtues of the Servant of God Joseph Marchetti<\/a>. Together with the Promoter of the Faith<\/em>, six of eight prescribed Consultors<\/em> attended the session. The two absent Consultors had previously sent their written votes.<\/p>\n

After the debate, the Congress, unanimously, shared the opportunity that the postulation explain what kind of problems hindered the veneration of the Servant of God, as well as the normal missionary activity carried out by the Scalabrini Fathers at the time of Marchetti in order to check the extraordinary nature of his work.<\/p>\n

After reviewing the responses of the postulation, on January 21, 2016, the Consultors who expressed the main findings gave the following supplementary opinion:<\/p>\n

Vote II has been amended from suspensive <\/em>to affirmative<\/em>;<\/p>\n

Vote III has been changed from affirmative ad mentem<\/em> to affirmative<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Therefore, the final statement of the Theological Congress is: 9 positive Votes (9 of 9).<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
