The XVI General Chapter of the Congregation of the Missionaries of St. Charles – Scalabrinians – on the same day that Father Leonir Mario Chiarello was re-elected as superior general for the next six-year term, chose Fr. Dias Caetano Carlos Miguel, Portuguese (first councilor, vicar general and bursar), Fr. Cisco Mariano, Italian (second councilor), Fr. Bettin Isaldo Antonio, Brazilian (third councilor) and Fr. Madin Syrilus, Indonesian (fourth councilor and procurator general) as members of the General Council.
