The Scalabrini Migration Study Centers (SMSC) are seven centers entirely dedicated to a deeper understanding of migration in all its aspects. These Centers, found in some of the most important cities of the world (New York, Paris, Rome, Cape Town, São Paulo, Buenos Aires and Manila), are in an ideal position to monitor the development of international migrations. The centers of study, organized along similar sectors, have their own specialized publications, a documentation service and a program of conferences and promotion initiatives.

The SMSC draw theirs inspiration from blessed Scalabrini, who stirred up the interest of public opinion on the vicissitudes of migrants, fought for a better legal protection on their behalf and has left a group of followers, who continue his vision through social centers, formation institutes, rest homes, spiritual formation and assistance.
