From 28 to 30 June 2017, the Global Forum on Migration and Development (GFMD) in Berlin will be the opportunity for governments to share experiences and good practices on migration.  The summit will be co-chaired by Germany and Morocco and the theme will be Towards a Global Social Contract on Migration and Development.

The Holy See, which aims to strengthen the bonds of solidarity between the migrants and their countries (of origin and destination), will be represented by Fr. Michael Czerny, Under-Secretary (together with Scalabrinian Father, Fabio Baggio) of the Migrants & Refugees Section at the Dicastery for promoting Integral Human Development. Father Czerny, in particular, will contribute with two talks (available below).
