Rieti, a solidarity campaign to restructure some churches damaged by the earthquake

In recent months news about the earthquake that hit the center Region of Italy went all over around the world (…). The Diocese of Rieti has been particularty affected. It is an area very close to our affections due to the memory of the Venerable Mons. Massimo Rinaldi, whom was one of our confreres as well as bishop and exemplar pastor of that Diocese.

(…) I wolud like to launch a “Solidarity campaign”, inviting all our communities, parishes and missions to sensitize people for a fundraising. Two projects are particularly dear to Mons. Pompili [current Bishop of Rieti]. The firs one: to offer financial support to some small family based productive artisanal activities (…). The second project: Bishop Pompili would like to restructure some churces. The earthquake, in fact, has either destroyed or damaged 115 churches! (…)

While thanking you and anticipating our recognition for your generosity, I fraternally greet you.

P. Alessandro Gazzola, General Superior
